Jo Wiseman
Founder & Psychotherapist - MBACP
I'm a warm, curious, and down-to-earth therapist offering a safe, supportive space to explore whatever brings you here.
Therapy with me isn't always serious or analytical - it's not about lying on a couch while I nod and take notes. I'm a real person, and I bring my whole self to the work. Sometimes we laugh. Sometimes we sit with something tender or painful. And sometimes we gently challenge the patterns that no longer serve you.
I work in a relational and integrative way, which means I tailor our sessions to your unique needs and experiences. Whether you're feeling stuck, overwhelmed, or simply want to understand yourself more deeply, I'm here to support you through it.
I hold a BSc in Humanistic and Integrative Psychotherapy, alongside many years of trauma-focused and human development training. My approach is grounded in empathy, presence, and deep respect for each person's lived experience.
I offer a compassionate and non-judgmental space for people navigating complex or transitional life experiences. I have worked extensively with care-experienced people and individuals who have experienced homelessness, as well as those facing emotional challenges such as loss, identity shifts, or feeling disconnected from themselves.
I also have particular experience supporting women through significant life transitions including pregnancy, all stages of motherhood, menopause, relationship breakdown, infertility, miscarriage, and child-loss.
